The Backroom

"New England's Coolest Dinner Party" - The New York Times

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I make a reservation?  Reservations can  be made through our website by checking the "Reservations" page.

  • When are you open? We are cooking Friday & Saturday. The evening starts at 6PM on Fridays & Saturdays with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres for half an hour or so followed by a three-course dinner menu.

  • What is on the menu?  We want to offer you the best of what we've got, so our menu will change nightly based on what's seasonally available.

  • I'm a vegetarian/gluten free/lactose intolerant. Can I still dine at The Backroom? Of course! We ask guests with any dietary restrictions or preferences to include that information in their reservation so we can accommodate.

  • How come I can't select a time when making a reservation?  The restaurant is basically the private kitchen of Chef Kevin Lasko and the dinner service reflects as much. You're joining fellow diners for a communal dinner party in his kitchen.

  • How much does it cost? The three course menu is offered at $89 per person, exclusive of beverages, tax and gratuity.

  • Do you take walk ins? Only if you like to gamble. Because seating is limited, reservations are strongly recommended.

  • Do you serve alcohol? The better question is "What alcohol DON'T you serve"? We've got a full beer, wine and cocktail list available to all patrons over 21.

  • Do you have a children's menu? Only if your kids are as fun as THESE kids. But seriously, we do not offer a children's menu but we do welcome all diners who are interested in a culinary adventure.
